Below is a selection of Zambia safari tours that have been popular with our clientèle over the past 7 years, these safaris are completely customizable and can be booked as is or tailor made to fit your budget or time frame. Interestingly you will notice that the below safaris are all walking based in the Luangwa Valley.... The Walking Mobile safari Combining Nkwali 2 Nights, Walking Mobile 5 Nights, and Tena Tena 3 Nights The Walking Mobile Safaris have come to be known as THE wilderness experience of the South Luangwa. After 2 nights at Nkwali, the party drives up to the remote north of the park. For 5 days the safari follows the Mupamadzi River, covering approximately 10km a day. This clear river is a major tributary of the Luangwa. The area is remote and wild, the terrain and habitats varied and the game shy and unused to man. From ants to buffalo, a bird's nest to tracking a lion, you will learn the many facets of the bush. Robin Pope Bush Camping Bush Camping is a wonderful way to dive deeper into the bush, camping in a simple but extremely comfortable way. Personalized safaris, catering for between 2-4 guests, in two different and contrasting areas. Walking with the best of guides, dipping deeper into the bush from the fixed camps by camping out for a couple of nights, dinner and stories around the fire, simple but delicious food. Accommodation consists of the following; stand up tents, mattresses on the ground, sheets and blankets, wash basin, shared 60L bucket shower, bush loo, full bar and food service, fully serviced camp (except laundry). Bush Camping in a wild and remote area away from the main Luangwa River. The game is sparse, skittish and wild. Here you really are deep in the bush. North Luangwa Walking Trail Kutandala is an exqusite bushcamp on the banks of the Mwaleshi in the North Luangwa National Park. This ten day (nine nights) safari starts at Nkwali Camp for two nights. Guests will then transfer to Nsefu for three nights, and the safari will end with four nights at Kutandala. The transfer to Kutandala Camp in the North Luangwa is by light aeroplane. The park is very remote and wild - a place for real bush lovers to visit. Made of reed, grass and poles, and taking only six guests, the camp is intimate and natural.

Zambia Travel - information
Zambia, located in Southern Africa and is bordered by Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Botswana, Angola, Tanzania, Malawi and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Formerly the British protectorate of Northern Rhodesia, Zambia adopted its new name upon independence on the 24th October 1964, the countries name is derived from the Zambezi river which flows along the Southern boundary of Zambia. Today, Zambia is one of the top safari destinations in Southern and Eastern Africa, with The Victoria Falls, Lower Zambezi National Park and the Lungwa National Park being 3 of the most popular safari attractions here. Other Destinations: * Kafue National park * Lochinvar National Park * Lake Kariba * Lake Tanganyika * Sioma Ngwezi National Park * Kasanka National Park Getting into Botswana: * By Air - International airports are situated at Livingstone, Lusaka and Mfuwe, We must stress though that you will not see large 747 and the big airbuses here. When the word international airport is used, we mean domestic/ international i.e. South Africa to Zambia, Kenya to Zambia and so on. So when flying to Zambia from a country out side of Africa it will most probably be a add-on connection. * By Road - Zambian Main roads are OK to GOOD, go off these and one will require a good 4x4 with the driving skills to match. Saying that Zambia is not an ideal self drive destination. Language: English is widely spoken by everybody when on safaris in Zambia. Health: Malaria is found in the ALL regions of Zambia - precautions need to be taken. The AIDS/ HIV infection rate of Zambia is estimated at 16.5% in 2003. Please be responsible when on Zambia safari.

Client Comments
"... the trip was superb. The falls were spectacular. The food and service at the lodge were outstanding - they try very hard to please the guests. The cruises on the river were great - saw a lot of elephant, hippos, crocodiles, birds, and terrific sunsets.... " Lloyd & Jan (United States) |
